Westcotes Flooring Company were appointed by main contactor Kier to undertake the sub floor preparation and floor finishes to the new Volvo & Nissan Car Showroom’s in Reading’s New Gateway Retail Park. The 20.5 acre development delivered retail units, homes, showrooms and industrial units generating over 250 jobs and £138 million of social value.
Milliken Nordic stories were installed to the offices and mezzanine areas in the Nissan showroom , a collection which represents the sensory experience in the Nordics with distinct identities that have collectively helped to define contemporary design culture.
Areas of the Ground Floor Showroom were prepared with a latex smoothing compound and installed in Bolons Artisan Woven Vinyl, this was chosen as a warm tactile floor covering with a handcrafted feel, in this instance with the chosen colour ‘ slate ‘ past meets present in an expression of classic grey. The Artisan range has been specifically developed for large, high traffic areas such as a showroom of this calibre.
